Area Coordinators/Residence Directors (ACs & RDs)

These student affairs professionals are full-time staff members who live and work in a residential complex and work closely with learning community staff. ACs and RDs communicate and implement policies, respond to emergencies, and supervise and support other in-hall staff. They are the go-to resource for residents who need to talk to someone about their transition to UVM, a roommate issue, or where to find support for their academic needs.
Assistant Residence Directors (ARDs)
ARDs are full-time graduate students who split their time between the classroom and their live-in ResLife duties. They assist full-time hall staff in all matters pertaining to the management of a residential complex, which includes supporting students, supervising RAs, communicating and implementing policies, and advising student organizations.
Resident Advisors (RAs)

RAs are returning undergraduate students who provide educational and social programming, and build strong communities. They are the first point of contact for their residents and are trained to help connect them to any support they may need.
Office Managers (OMs)

Part of our administrative services team, OMs are UVM staff who manage the main desk operations of residential complexes. They supervise desk staff, oversee mail delivery, and assist with room changes and maintenance requests. OMs know a lot about UVM and are a great resource for residents.
Facilities Staff

Every community member shares in the responsibility of keeping the residence halls safe and clean, and our dedicated custodial and maintenance staff take great pride in maintaining a safe and healthy living environment for everyone who lives in our buildings.
