Spring Applicants
Deadline:
File when you apply to UVM. While there is no specific deadline for the spring semester, we recommend that you submit your FAFSA for the current year as soon as you apply to UVM.
Fall Undergraduate First-Year Applicants (Early Action, Early Decision, & Regular Notification)
Deadline:
File as soon as possible once the FAFSA opens October 1. We recommend completing your FAFSA for the upcoming year as early as possible in order to receive an aid offer at the time of your admissions decision and to ensure consideration for all available sources of financial aid. Funding may be limited for FAFSA's submitted after February 1.
Fall Undergraduate Transfer Applicants
Deadline:
File as soon as possible once the FAFSA opens October 1. We recommend completing your FAFSA for the upcoming year as early as possible in order to receive an aid offer around the time of your admissions decision and to ensure consideration for all available sources of financial aid. Funding may be limited for FAFSA's submitted after March 1.
Current & Returning Undergraduate Students
Deadline:
February 1
You can file as soon as October 1 when the FAFSA opens. Funding is limited and not guaranteed. It is important to submit your FAFSA by February 1 so that you don't lose out on potential federal-based or institutional funding and can receive an on-time aid offer for the upcoming academic year.
Graduate, Non-Degree, & Medical School Students
Deadline:
You can file as soon as October 1 when the FAFSA opens. While there is no specific deadline, we recommend completing your FAFSA for the upcoming year as early as possible in order to receive an on-time aid offer.
